I am writing this, as I am 34 weeks pregnant. With only about 6 weeks lefts in my prenatal period, I found that there are certain items that were must-haves during my pregnancy. Now that I have experienced pregnancy for the first time, I know exactly what maternity items I will need for my future pregnancies to come.

This Blanqui Band is one of my favorite maternity items. I bought this during my third trimester, and looking back, I wish I had gotten it much sooner. This band is a soft stretchy material that fits around your belly under your clothes. I love it not only because it makes my clothing look so much better but it also provides nice support for my back.
This band can be used from the first to the third trimester as it is made to stretch and fit your growing belly. I will be sure to use this earlier in my next pregnancy and even in the post partum period as I adjust back into my normal pant sizes. The lower part of the band can fold over top of unbuttoned jeans or pants as you go through the prenatal and postnatal transition times.
Pink Stork Mist
This Pink Stork topical magnesium mist was a must-have during my first trimester and now even during my third trimester. I had terrible morning sickness at the beginning of my pregnancy and this spray would help significantly with the nausea. Now that I am near the end of my pregnancy, nausea is no longer an issue for me but getting a good night’s sleep is. I have noticed that when I use this spray before bed, it actually does help me to sleep through the night. All you have to do is spray this onto your skin before bed and let the magnesium work its magic.
Comfortable maternity leggings are an absolute must-have item. I literally live in these types of leggings. Pregnancy is a beautiful time, but it may not always be comfortable. This is especially true if you don’t have the right type of clothing. Normal leggings simply do not work during pregnancy, especially towards the end. I feel the most comfortable when I wear the maternity leggings with the belly band built in. This helps to keep your leggings in place all day, and you don’t have to worry about an uncomfortably waistband.
Cocoa butter is a must have if you want to prevent any stretch marks from forming. I use both the oil and cream forms of cocoa butter every day when I get out of the shower. This works to keep my rapidly growing skin moist and resilient.
Prenatal Vitamins & Prenatal DHA
Finding high quality prenatal vitamins is extremely important for both you and your growing baby. The best ones that I have found so far are the Garden of Life’s Raw Prenatal Vitamins. These prenatals cover all of my bases vitamin wise and it even includes probiotics and a digestive blend support.
Garden of Life also makes a great prenatal DHA supplement. It is called Oceans Mom Prenatal DHA. Prental DHA supports heart health, vision, and bone health. I plan to continue to take this supplement in the post-natal period as it is known to enhance the quality of breast milk as well.
I honestly don’t think I could sleep through the night without my pregnancy pillow. I have the Boppy pregnancy pillow and I absolutely love it. I use it in between my legs and up my back and it works to position my body for a good night’s sleep. Before I had this I would toss and turn all night, trying to get into a comfortable position. For some reason it also helps to take pressure off of my bladder so I don’t find myself waking up every two hours to pee throughout the night.
I hope these items help you through your pregnancy as much as they did for me. Congratulations on your pregnancy and enjoy this beautiful time!
