Today’s post is dedicated to my new favorite skin care product…CLEANSING WATER. If you have not tried cleansing water yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. Not only does it make a huge difference in your skin care routine, but it is super affordable as well. So far, I have found two cleansing waters in particular that I love: Bioderma’s Sebium H20 and Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water.

Bioderma Sebium H2O
This cleansing water is perfect for oily, acne-prone and combination skin. I use the Bioderma Sebium H2O in the morning in place of my normal cleanser. I use a soft cotton pad saturated with the cleansing water and run it all over my face and neck. It works extremely well to remove any dirt, oil or left over makeup, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed. I have found that using Bioderma’s cleansing water has actually made my skin look and feel better, especially during the dry winter months. It is strong enough to get your skin clean, but gentle enough not to strip or dry out your skin. Not to mention, this is a lazy girl’s skin care dream. It is so much easier to using cleansing water than it is to actually wash your face with a cleanser and water.
If you do not have oily or combination skin, Bioderma also makes different types of cleansing waters that may work better for your skin type.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
This can be used as both a cleanser and makeup remover. I use this Garnier cleansing water at night after I wash my face with my usual cleanser. It works wonderfully to remove any excess makeup. It is also a perfect way to double cleanse. I put a little bit of this cleansing water on a soft cotton pad and run it all over my face. It works to remove any excess makeup that my first cleanser might have missed. This cleansing water is super gentle and never leaves my skin with that tight, dried out feeling.
I work night shift, so I like to take naps before I go into work sometimes. Whenever I do this, I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to remove any makeup, dirt or oil before I take a nap. It is a quick and simple way to get my face clean before trying to sleep for a bit. This has worked wonders for preventing breakouts, as it is never a good idea to sleep with makeup on.
Garnier makes a couple different types of cleansing waters as well. They have one specific to oily skin. They also have one specific to waterproof makeup, that I feel will be very useful in the summer.
